I am always shocked when I see a significant percentage of the people who stay on my site who show a .gov or .mil address. I can also tell when a rabidly neocon site references a post of mine as my readership spikes. Anyone else find that they have an unusual or unexpected populations of readers?
In light of what we know about the Bush administration's use of email and internet monitoring it does get a little creepy. However, the blogosphere is watched by most of the Congressional staffs, the campaign staffs and, of course, the White House communications office.
I know and try not to get creeped out.... thanks for reminding me, but at times I simply ignore all those wonderful stats that tell me what people want to read because of my personal "ick" factor. LOL.
