And I thank Emily for inviting me. I cut my teeth on politics when I was a child with Emily's late mother-in-law in Berkeley. She was a very active democrat (a delegate I think I remember). I remember going to headquarters with her, helping stuff envelopes, etc. I didn't realize then what an influence she (the Duffys all) would have on me.
