Where are our heroes?
We all knew people like mother Teresa of Calcutta, Mandela, John Kennedy, Gandhi, Martin Luther King and so many others who dedicated their entire lives standing up for what they believed in and to make this place a better world.
These people had and have a world wide image and legacy. The message they sent throughout the globe have an impact on thousands of million of people. I think every person who has that kind of attention must be responsible for that image is passing on to society. What kind of message are our leaders passing on nowadays? Where are our heroes? Is this generation lacking of heroes?
Are any of the presidential candidates such heroes? Are they at least capable of becoming one someday? I asked myself that question last night and it was when occurred to me to write about it.
The examples some of our “called” leaders are setting throughout the world might not be the ones we should be so proud of. It embarrasses me to realize that some of the politicians and political parties underestimate its own people intelligence. It embarrasses me to notice how many lies are being told. It embarrasses me to hear over and over again discussions over nonsense issues instead of arguments about real subjects that matter and are important to all societies.
Where are our heroes? They are the product of our society? They are among us. You could be the hero. What legacy is being left behind by today’s heroes? What kind of history is this Nation going to print? We are all responsible for the choices we make and I just really hope this county makes the right one in November.
