Last week’s Supreme Court discussion about the strip-searching in schools throughout the country disturbed me somehow.
Believing that it's ok to strip-search our kids in order to keep them safe from drugs or fire arms it is not ok.
In a judicial system where a suspect of a crime being investigated by the police department can only have his or her car and/or house searched with a court order, how can we allow school officials to strip-search boys and girls like that?
That is definitely not the answer do protect children in a school environment.
We must find ways to prevent them from drugs and fire arms, but also to ensure that their rights are not being violated.
