It's about the people...the possibility of an administration once again remembering that it's about the people...what a great HOPE and what a wonderful, welcome CHANGE.

I voted early -- last week and it was an amazing experience for me, too. I felt such an incredibly positive energy the entire day and it has continued.
No matter what, today Americans will elect either a person of color or a woman into one of the highest offices in the world. What a day! July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress cut ties with the British Crown and declared that all Men are created equal. Well, 232 years later we are seeing the grandest acknowledgment of that equality actually manifest. As a country, we still have a long way to go, but this is a big step and we are witnessing it in history. By tonight, either a person of color or a woman will be elected to one of the top two positions in the White House!
How is it that this took 232 years???
I have my opinions, but that's a whole blog in itself!

I went to the polls at 10:00am this morning with my mother and a few close friends. I posted a few pics on Facebook. It was an absolutely amazing experience. At my location, voting went off without a hitch. The poll workers stated that there had been very heavy early turn out and then steady since 9am. I couldn't believe the number of young people there during what I normally refer to as "the senior citizen hours" :-)
